Evrytania county is an enchanting place, one of the most beautiful areas of Greece. Green in summer and winter, full of lush valleys, canyons and natural waterfalls (Pantavrechi and Black Cave), with impressive caves decorated with stalactites and stalagmites. It has a very rich fauna including wild boars, wolves, bears, deer, many birds of prey, and wild trout in Lake Episkopis. Also, here you can find the biggest dam in Europe, Kremasti Lake.

A place with rich local color and intact and hospitable people, with many major attractions, cultural and religious heritage (Monasteries Tatarna and Prusu) and a great story. According to an ancient legend, Evritania got its name from the archer Evritos, that was killed by the god Apollon for daring to challenge him to a duel.
